Hautes – Côtes de Nuits rosé (Pink Wine) : Ideal with BBQ…
Made from the type of vine called Black Pinot, this wine is quite rare in Burgundy, and will no doubt astonish you. Its freshness mixes harmoniously with its aromas of strawberry and raspberry, especially on barbecues and pizzas.
Best served at 10-12° C, between 2 and 4 years.
HAUTES COTES DE NUITS ROUGE CUVEE TRADITION : CONVIVIALITY
This vintage gives greater importance to the primary aromas of flowers and fruits, and the result is a very palatable and attractive wine, to be served with light meals, grilled or roasted meat. It can be enjoyed between 5 to 7 years old.
You will best appreciate it between 14 and 16° C.
HAUTES COTES DE NUITS ROUGE CUVEE DE GARDE : CHARACTER
(matured in old french barrel)
The grapes here are but partially dropped off the bunch, and the vintage is produced in oak barrels. Behind the aromas of red berries and undergrowth, those of wild animal furs are often perceptible. These flavours, enhanced by the tannins, will taste wonderfully on meat cooked in a wine sauce, on game and on cheese.
Wait 3 to 5 years before opening, but the full flavours will draw to a close at about 8 years of age.
Serve this wine between 16-18° C.
HAUTES COTES DE NUITS ROUGE CUVEE DE GARDE VIEILLE VIGNE : TYPICALLY WINE
The grapes grown on the oldest vineyards produce a more powerfully structured wine, compared to its « next of kin » Cuvée de Garde. Half of the barrels where it rests for 18 months are new. There it gains not only its smoothness and its aromatic complexity, but also its flattering and woody note. You can already taste it when it is 2 or 3 years old, but those who favour the aromas of old wines will wait until it is 8.
Served between 16 and 18° C, it will go best with wildfowl, meat cooked in a wine sauce and mature cheese.
